January 3, 2011 at 10:07 AM
Last evening, we reported about the leak of Internet Explorer 9 build 9.0.8027.6000. In that post, we also mentioned that Microsoft has no plans to push a Beta 2 for IE9. It seems the leaked build is a Release Candidate branch build.
Internet Explorer 9 New Logo
Users who have installed the leaked build can clearly notice the entry of Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate entry under installed updates (View installed updates) section. As you can see in the below snapshot, the entry clearly shows that it's a Release Candidate branch build of IE9.

On the other side, about section of IE 9 build 9.0.8027.6000 displays that it's still a beta build. Let's wait for a few days to see the official RC build.

We strongly recommend not to install the leaked build as the official Release Candidate build is just around the corner.

How To Create Windows Key Shortcuts In Vista & 7?
January 3, 2011 at 9:56 AM
Are you a keyboard freak? If your answer is a big "Yes", then this post is dedicated to you! We, keyboard frocks always like to know more shortcut ways to work with Windows or any other programs.
I know most of the Windows shortcut keys. I have even created shortcut keys to run any programs instantly. But the catch is, Windows doesn't allow you add extra Windows key shortcuts. That is you can't assign a hotkey like [Windows key] + [I] to open any program.
Winkey is a free handy utility that allows you create new Windows key shortcuts. Using this freeware you can create new shortcut keys to any programs or features. By default, Winkey assigns few Windows keys to drives and programs, but you can alter the settings with few clicks. By using this small utility I can now open Control Panel by just holding Winkey and C combination.
One better feature is, Winkey allows you run any program in restricted Windows like normal, minimized and maximized window. Winkey resides at the system tray, making easy to access the program to any modifications.
Winkey program runs with Windows at startup so that you can access the all new shortcuts once you login to Windows without manually running the program.

Create A Keyboard Shortcut For Snipping Tool In Windows 7
January 3, 2011 at 9:54 AM
Snipping tool was introduced in Windows Vista for the first time and also exists in the latest Windows 7 operating system.
Capture[4]
With Snipping Tool you can capture text, graphics, and any associated annotations and then save them in your desired format. Unfortunately, Microsoft has not defined a default keyboard shortcut for Snipping Tool both in Vista and Windows 7. It's really pain to dig into the start menu to find out the tool quickly.

To create a keyboard shortcut for Snipping Tool, use the simple procedure given below:
1. Go to Start, Accessories, right-click on Snipping Tool and select Properties.
2. Move to the Shortcut tab.
3. Select the Shortcut key box, and then press any desired keyboard key as your shortcut to the program.
Snipping Tool
4. Windows will define the new shortcut to the Snipping Tool and will also embed Ctrl + Alt as the prefix to the shortcut. If you have assigned "S" key to Snipping Tool then you need to press Ctrl + Alt + S to launch, for instance.
5. Click Apply and remember your new keyboard shortcut!
